Surrender to Receive

One of the hardest concepts to implements in personal growth is the one that requires the least amount of input. Ironically, once we work to align our energy and fine tuned our beliefs all that is left is to surrender. Give our desires up to the universe, and act as if it is already done. But for those of you that feel as I do and have spent a multitude of time in life planning and attempting to control elements to ensure success, the concept of surrender can seem impossible. The challenge is to choose trust over certainly.
This process is by no means easy. Especially with responsibilities in the present moment. Our brains have been wired to assess threat and neutralize it, but the fixation of problems can often create more of them. Attention is a golden tool in the art of detachment. A relaxed acknowledgement that no matter how and when it will end up working out.
Part of doing this calls for rewiring of brain patterns. Instead of tirelessly focusing on finding a solution our job is to stay present and find peace in detaching from the problem. This process takes lots of practice. Take it one step at a time and have grace for yourself. Each moment you find yourself worrying, recalibrate your attention to the present and take a breath affirming it will work out fine. After some practice, you will notice the process getting easier.
Neville Goddard teaches that each time we worry we plant a seed of an undesired reality, and our attention is the water. So, within the first few moments of worrying become aware that you are planting a seed, and avert your attention from the worrisome thought depriving the seed of water. Reality is full of endless possibilities, and we get to choose to which we nurture. Get creative and even playful with the process evoking your childlike imagination.
Once I lost an important government document and fear quickly kicked in as I feared someone with ill intentions could gain access to it. After reminding myself that I choose my thoughts I imagined best case scenario being a pack of woodland fairies finding the document and protecting it for me. Though I know logically this did not occur, it made me smile and allowed me to shift my nervous system into a calmer more regulated state and affirm that they are countless possibilities, so assume the best!
Manifesting our desires requires us to toss our worries to the universe like a touchdown pass. Imagine throwing your foot ball of a problem into the end zone. Letting go and believing a touch down will follow. Us forcing a solution and keeping our hands on the ball will more than likely result in a tackle. Release your desires and believe in the process. Surrendering and fully releasing our problems to a higher power liberates us from inputting any forced effort. So no need to sit and visualize a specific outcome over and over. Finding the frequency of peace and holding on to it will allow you to receive your desire in time.
True detachment of our problems comes with trust, so it’s worth reminding yourself that even if things don’t go perfectly, you would still be ok. Regardless of what happens you will survive and figure it out, as you always have. Remind yourself often so you can let the outcome go. Breathe it out and focus on the present. And soon, it will arrive. When you least expect it, of course. So to help you stay off of the worry train, surround yourself with things you love and that fascinate you. Allow yourself to obsess about your passions instead of your troubles. Before you know it your attention will begin to flow towards what fuels you rather than what bogs you down. With your energy grounded in the present moment, you will be allowing the universe to orchestrate the rest and deliver your desire to you with synchronistic timing and detail.
