Liberation from Limitations

Liberation from Limitations

We are energetic beings and manifest our reality based on our dominant frequency. All thoughts and beliefs are energy and hold a unique vibration that resonates in our energetic field. Beliefs of safety, security and confidence have a high vibration, make us feel good and aid us in attracting more experiences that match those frequencies. BUT beliefs that we are not good enough, unworthy, unlovable, etc., can severely derail us from manifesting our desires. We are always manifesting with every thought, belief and choice, so it is important to focus on thoughts of higher frequencies to align with our desired reality.

Limiting beliefs are sneaky with subtle undertones, but so deeply engrained that they often go unnoticed by our conscious mind. They are typically cultivated in childhood but are reinforced every time we make decisions based on their validity.

Relatable example time-

In childhood the belief of I have nothing good to say was birthed from being silenced from overstimulated people. As I grew, I continued to silence myself and kept my funny remarks and insightful advice to myself convinced no one would appreciate it. Once I gained a bit of comfort in the workplace, I began sharing my opinions and humor and watched amazed as others welcomed it. This came as a shock, but also as a budding new perspective. Maybe people did want to hear from me. I began sharing more despite my hesitations and eventually reframed my belief to I should speak when I feel compelled to.

We all have some form of limiting thinking that stops us from living a fulfilling life. Since these limiting thoughts can be so familiar, as baggage we have unconsciously carried with us through life, it’s crucial to practice detecting them. This takes mindfulness and patience. Observe how your body feels each thought you have. Our minds can go into autopilot when we are idling performing tasks like chores or driving, and in these moments negative thinking can run wild. Our thoughts can trap us in unwanted realities if we allow them to. Thoughts like things will never change are the foundation of our self-made prisons. Revising our limiting beliefs is our key to liberation. We can identify negative thoughts through noticing physiological and emotional shifts in our bodies and nervous systems i.e. increased heart rate, tightening of the chest, quick temper, anxiety, etc. After detecting the source of this dissidence, our next step is to transform the belief.

Whatever negative beliefs we have are destined to be transformed, just as the law of energy states about. Thoughts will continue to come, but we have the power to transform the limiting ones into power assumptions. One teacher who has shown profound insight on this topic is David Bayer. He is a mindset coach with an amazing framework on transforming limitations into new empowering beliefs. He declares all beliefs that send us into a negative, or in his words “primal” state are untrue. Which is why they feel so awful in our energetic field as beings of light, love and truth. Sit with that for just a second. All of the limiting beliefs that have weighed you down and held you back, are not true. And if they aren’t, then what is? David Bayer declares the opposite is true. I am not good enough feels heavy and disheartening to me. I am enough feels like liberation from years of childhood pain and brings tears of relief to my eyes. It brings happiness, because it is true.

So, moving forward our job is simple when a thought of fear and insecurity creeps up, affirm the opposite. Many of us weren’t taught to have such faith in our own abilities, but it is our power to claim. It will take practice to fully embody these new beliefs and transform your perspective. Focusing on your nervous system and energetic body will aide in the alignment process. Happy manifesting my friends. The only limits are those which you claim. So, we say sky is the limit.
